Families and Politics Workshop
Held on December 10, 2022 at the Tuolumne County Library, Sonora, CA
Depolarization begins at home
There are practical steps we can take to reduce the effects of political polarization at home and in our community. Braver Angels, a national, non partisan, non profit organization with a mission to depolarize America, offers this hybrid eLearning and in-person Families and Politics workshop.
How to talk with loved ones on the “other side”
Family relationships are becoming casualties of our toxic political environment. If you want to preserve important family bonds while still being true to your values and political beliefs, this workshop is for you.
Although the focus is on family relationships, you can use what you learn in this workshop in conversations with practically anyone. You’ll also laugh and have some fun – it won’t be all serious. After all, we all come from quirky families.
Goals

- Have a deeper understanding of why family differences over politics are uniquely challenging.
- Gain Insight into the common roles that family members play in political conversations.
